Who We Are

Empowerment through Agriculture & Skills Education (EASE) is a non-profit organization established to address the root causes of poverty and vulnerability by investing in education, agricultural development, and practical skills acquisition.

Empowerment through Agriculture & Skills Education operates on the principle that education and agriculture are the strongest foundations for sustainable empowerment, particularly in underserved and rural communities. The organization was born out of the growing need to bridge gaps in rural communities, beginning with small-scale training workshops and now running fully structured programs that benefit hundreds of individuals across the Upper River Region of The Gambia.

Why We Exist

Many communities face systemic challenges that prevent sustainable development:

Limited access to quality education

Unemployment and lack of practical skills

Food insecurity and underutilized agricultural potential

Dependency on short-term aid rather than sustainable solutions

Gender gaps in rural farming communities

EASE was created to respond to these challenges through integrated education and agriculture-focused empowerment models that build self-reliance, resilience, and long-term opportunity.

Our Mission

To empower individuals and communities by expanding access to education, developing practical skills, and strengthening agriculture-based livelihoods, while fostering transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.

Our Vision

A world where individuals and communities are empowered through knowledge, skills, and sustainable agriculture to achieve dignity, self-reliance, and lasting prosperity.

Our Values
