•Hold nationality in a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Suriname, and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands

•Do not hold a dual nationality from an EU/EEA country

•Have applied for admission to a participating full-time Master's programme at Maastricht University

•Meet the specific admission requirements of the selected Maastricht University Master's programme

•Have never participated in a degree-seeking higher education programme in the Netherlands (students who completed an exchange programme in the Netherlands are eligible)

•Be no older than 35 years of age on 1 September of the academic year

•Have obtained excellent academic results in previous education programmes (e.g., top 5% of your graduating class or equivalent grade point average)

The UM NL-Brightlands Talent Scholarship programme is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in collaboration with Maastricht University and the Brightlands Campuses. The scholarship offers talented students from outside the EU/EEA the opportunity to pursue a full-time Master's programme at Maastricht University in study areas connected to the innovative themes of the Brightlands Campuses. The scholarship covers living costs, health and liability insurance, visa application fees, and full tuition fees.

•Living expenses: €15,300 (13 months) or €30,600 (26 months for a two-year Master's programme)

•Health and liability insurance: €700 (arranged and covered by UM)

•Visa application costs: €257 (arranged and covered by UM)

•Tuition fees: Full coverage arranged at cost for the duration of the Master's programme

•Pre-Academic Training: Full coverage of course and accommodation costs for UM pre-academic preparation
