•Nationality: Candidates must be foreign nationals (candidates with French nationality, including dual citizens, are not eligible)

•Age limit for Master's component: Candidates must be up to 27 years old at the date of the selection committee

•Age limit for PhD component: Candidates must be up to 30 years old at the date of the selection committee

•Application submission: Applications must be submitted directly by French higher education institutions on behalf of students; individual applications sent directly to Campus France will be rejected

•Fields of study: Science and Technology (Biology and health, Ecological transition, Mathematics and digital, Engineering sciences) and Humanities and Social Sciences (French history, language and civilization, Law and political science, Economics and management)

•Location of study: For Master's programs, candidates residing in France at the time of application are not eligible; for PhD programs, candidates may be enrolled in a joint supervision or dual-degree doctoral program with a foreign partner

•Language proficiency: Candidates must meet the language proficiency requirements (French or English) demanded by their chosen academic institution

•Non-cumulation: The Eiffel scholarship cannot be combined with other French government scholarships or Erasmus+ funding

The France Excellence Eiffel scholarship program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to Master's and PhD programs. The scholarship aims to train future foreign decision-makers in the private and public sectors, in priority study areas. Prospective students must first contact a participating French higher education institution or Campus France office to request institutional nomination, as individuals cannot apply directly to Campus France.

•Domestic train travel to the final study location within France and local transit subsidies

•Supplementary health insurance and social security coverage
