Eligibility
•Must be a citizen of an eligible SI scholarship country
•Must apply for an eligible master's degree programme commencing in the autumn semester via University Admissions Sweden
•Must have a minimum of 3,000 hours of demonstrated work experience from a maximum of three employers
•Must demonstrate leadership experience from current or previous employment or civil society engagements
•Must be admitted or conditionally admitted to an eligible master's programme by the time University Admissions announces admissions results
•Must pay the university application fee to University Admissions on time (unless exempt)
Details
The Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarships for Global Professionals is a fully funded scholarship programme funded by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The scholarship aims to develop future global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and drive positive development in their home countries and regions. It is granted for full-time one-year or two-year master’s degree programmes taught in English at Swedish universities.
Financial Benefits
•Full tuition fee coverage paid directly by the Swedish Institute to the Swedish university
•Monthly maintenance allowance of SEK 12,000 to cover living expenses throughout the study period
•Travel grant of SEK 10,000 or SEK 15,000 (one-time payment depending on country of origin)
•Comprehensive health and accident insurance coverage through the Swedish State Insurance
•Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Leaders (NFGL) and the SI Alumni Network
