The Government of Ireland - International Education Scholarships (GOI-IES) programme is a prestigious initiative managed by the Higher Education Authority (HEA). It awards 60 scholarships to high-calibre students from non-EU/EEA countries to study in Ireland for a period of one year. The scholarship is applicable for the final year of an undergraduate degree, one year of a Master's degree, or one year of a PhD programme.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be domiciled of a country outside of the EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom.
•Must have received an offer of a place at an eligible Irish higher education institution.
•Must be applying for one of the following: the final year of an undergraduate programme, one year of a taught master's degree, or one year of a research programme (e.g., one year of a 2-year research masters or a 3-4 year PhD programme).
•Must demonstrate a record of outstanding academic achievement.
•Must possess excellent communication skills.
•Must demonstrate participation in extra-curricular activities (e.g., humanitarian work, politics, arts, sports).
Financial Benefits
•A stipend of €10,000 for one year of study.
•A full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution.
