Blue Carbon and the Scottish Coast is a three-week residential summer credit course offered by the University of St Andrews. The course explores the role of coastal ecosystems in climate change mitigation, focusing on 'Blue Carbon' habitats. The program combines classroom lectures with laboratory work and extensive field excursions to Scottish coastal sites. Students will gain an understanding of the scientific, policy, and management aspects of blue carbon.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be a current registered undergraduate student at a university or college
•Must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent
•Non-native English speakers must meet English language proficiency requirements (e.g., IELTS 7.0)
•Must be aged 18 or over at the start of the program
