The Massey University Doctoral Scholarship is the premier scholarship offered by Massey University for doctoral research. It is designed to support high-achieving candidates who are undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or named Doctorate. The selection is based on academic merit and the strategic value of the research.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be eligible for admission to a 360-credit doctoral programme at Massey University
•Must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 7.0 (A
-average) or higher in the qualifying postgraduate qualification
•Open to both domestic (New Zealand) and international students
•Must have a conditional or unconditional offer of place in the doctoral programme
•Candidates must be researching a topic of strategic value to the University
•Must be enrolled or intending to enroll in full-time or part-time study (stipend is pro-rated for part-time)
Financial Benefits
•Living stipend of approximately NZD $35,000 per annum (tax-free)
•Payment of approved tuition fees for up to 36 months (3 years)
•Payment of the non-tuition student levy
•Tenure of up to 3 years for full-time students (pro-rated for part-time)
