Details
The Master's degree is a two-year full-time academic programme leading to a Joint Master Degree to be awarded, accredited and recognised by three universities: Public University of Navarre (UPNA, Spain), the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA, Greece) and University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD, Portugal). You will obtain training in the most advanced technologies and methodologies that can be applied to enhance the environmental, economic and social sustainability of farming. You will have the skills to:
- Apply such cutting-edge technologies to daily operational work in farms.
- Provide assistance and advice to farmers in the implementation of smart agriculture systems.
- Use technology efficiently to reduce the environmental impact of farming activities, costs and emissions and the presence of agrochemicals in surface and underground waters, and besides, avoid soil degradation.
- Follow on a basic or applied research career in industry or academia, eventually leading to a Doctoral degree.
From which degrees can I access SUSTAGRI?
Bachelor's degree in the following areas:
- Agricultural Engineering.
- Computing and Telecommunication Engineering.
- Environmental Engineering.
- Civil Engineering.
Any other similar degrees.
Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory Documents
- Spanish equivalent overall grade (NEW, for the 2026-2028 cohort). You have to obtain it in the Spanish Ministry of Education. A short explanatory video is available. Please note that the SUSTAGRI Master does not provide specific assistance with this process. This requirement must be completed individually through the platform of the Spanish Ministry of Education. For any questions or issues related to the application, candidates should contact the Ministry directly at: notamedia.uni@ciencia.gob.es
- SUSTAGRI Student Questionnaire (NEW, for the 2026-2028 cohort). You must complete this questionnaire before the registration process and once fullfilled, you will receive an email with a copy of your responses. Please save the email as a PDF and upload it as a proof of submission in the enrolment/registration form. The overall grade described in the previous point must be included as an answer to one of the questions in the questionnaire.
- Identity Card or Passport. If you hold more than one nationality, please attach a copy of all the documents providing those nationalities.
- Official university Bachelor's degree from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) or equivalent foreign degree allowing access to a postgraduate degree in the country that issued the degree (equivalent to level 6 EFQ). Should the applicant have not yet finished their studies at the time of application, they must be in a position to obtain their BSc degree before the start of SUSTAGRI programme. *
- Academic Transcript of Records. This transcript must contain all the courses taken during the entire bachelor's degree at the university of origin. Hence, it should include course, grades and the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) obtained to complete the programme. *
- Certificate of proficiency in English (see previous section)
- Curriculum Vitae in English. Mandatory Europass format (pdf)
- Education: Bachelor´s degree, with a minimum of three years’ study at a university and a minimum of 180 ECTS, or equivalent, according to the regulations in the country of origin and the European regulations, or to be in your last year of a Bachelor´s degree, preferably in:
- Agricultural Engineering
- Computing and Telecommunication Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Any other similar degrees
You must graduate before the Master’s programme starts
- English: International students attending the SUSTAGRI Programme and whose first language is not English are required to have a grade equivalent to level B2 before registration.
