Details

The Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship recognizes students with exceptional academic performance and the potential to make a leading contribution to the university and its communities. Selection for this scholarship is competitive and may include an interview. Recipients are expected to be ambassadors for Deakin University and must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 70% throughout their course. Applications should be submitted at least one month prior to the start of the intended trimester. To apply, students must first apply for a course at Deakin and then complete the specific scholarship application form.

Eligibility Criteria

Be a prospective international student for a coursework degree at Deakin University
Be eligible to study in Australia with a student visa
Not have commenced study at Deakin University
Have achieved an 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies
Must not be applying for a Higher Degree by Research (HDR)
Must provide a personal statement (300 words) outlining why you should be chosen
Must provide two references who can attest to your activities and/or achievements

Financial Benefits

100% or 50% of your tuition fees (depending on the level of the award)
Participation in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP)
A priority place in on-campus accommodation (at the student's own cost)
