The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Graduate University offers a fully funded 5-year PhD program in Science. The program is interdisciplinary, allowing students to combine different fields of study. Students undertake three lab rotations in their first year before selecting a thesis supervisor. All education and research are conducted entirely in English. The program is located in Okinawa, Japan.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Academic Background: Completion of a Bachelors, Masters, or equivalent degree in science, engineering, or related field prior to the admission date. 2. English Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required. Applicants who are not native speakers or who have not completed a degree in English must submit TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic scores. 3. Nationality: The program is open to candidates of all nationalities. 4. Required Documents: Academic transcripts, diploma/certificate of graduation, statement of purpose (400 words), passport copy, and at least two letters of recommendation.
